Recognizing the growing crisis of Canadian Armed Forces Veterans facing homelessness upon returning to civilian life, the Homes For Heroes Foundation was established. With public assistance, Homes For Heroes provides Veterans with housing, resources, and services, to facilitate a successful transition back into civilian life.

Red Rose Ranch Veterans Horse Camp (R3VHC) promotes health by providing Veterans, Military personnel, and First Responders with Peer Support and Equine Assisted Learning, enabling participants to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reduce stress, control anxiety, and set goals.

VETS Canada began in 2010 as a grassroots movement when Jim Lowther, a veteran himself, realized that there were veterans slipping through the cracks. These veterans had lost their families, were living in the streets in high risk situations. Jim and his wife, Debbie, formed a small team in Halifax, Nova Scotia to seek out and help homeless and at-risk veterans with a view to helping reintegrate them into civilian life.

That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.
